Tipi Bed without Drawer is a high-quality Scandinavian-style bed made from premium-class pine wood beams with a cross-section of 5×5 cm. All screw connections in the bed are concealed, the entire bed is hand and machine sanded, and the edges and ends are rounded for safety.
Rails
The rails are tall and secure – 31 cm in height. The length of the front rail can be selected as 1/2, 2/3, or 3/4, with the option to remove it later if desired. The entry side is determined from the outside, looking directly at the bed.
Middle Entry
If you want the entry to be in the middle, please select the 2/3 length option and choose the middle entry. Both sides will then be 1/3 each, and the entry will also take up 1/3 of the bed’s total length.
Bed Height
The height of the legs before the slope starts is 56 cm. The overall height of the Tipi model depends on the width of the bed:
- For a bed width of 80 cm, the total height of the Tipi is 162 cm.
- For a bed width of 90 cm, the total height is 163 cm.
- For a bed width of 100 cm, the total height is 163 cm.
- For a bed width of 120 cm, the total height is 152 cm. The selected bed size equals the mattress size. For example, if you order a 160×80 bed, you should purchase a mattress of the same dimensions.
External bed dimensions are +8 cm in both width and length.
Legs
The standard height of the legs is 10 cm. If you prefer legs of 1 cm or raised legs of 20 cm, please specify this in the order notes.
Mattress Selection
The bed does not include a mattress. The mattress is placed within the bed frame by about 3 cm. We recommend a mattress thickness of up to 15 cm. For a 10 cm thick mattress, the child will lie at a height of 25 cm. The set includes screws and a slatted base for the mattress, made of 6 cm wide pine boards, with gaps between the boards ranging from 6 to 8 cm, depending on the bed size.
The maximum weight capacity of the bed is 100 kg. For larger beds, such as 200×100, 200×120, or 200×140, the maximum load is 130 kg. The maximum load of a drawer with a sleeping function is 100 kg.
